Team Member - Customer Training (18-38hrs per week) [Australia]


 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The core responsibility of this role is to provide customers with training and knowledge of the highest standard, the Reeds Prospecting way, on our metal detectors and other prospecting equipment.

In this role you will:

  • Assist customers with purchasing and hiring metal detectors and prospecting equipment.
  • Deliver the Reeds Prospecting Advanced Detector Training to customers, to give them the most advanced knowledge, to understand and operate the Minelab range of metal detectors for gold prospecting and treasure hunting.
  • Provide solutions to customers on their prospecting and metal detecting needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience and/or knowledge of Gold Prospecting and Metal Detecting (strongly desired but not essential)
  • Understanding of the requirements of travelling and working in remote areas
  • Demonstrated experience in providing training
  • Highly developed customer service skills, particularly with problem solving, to assist customer needs
  • Experience in working well in a team

The role will suit someone with metal detecting and prospecting knowledge, preferably with customer service experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full-time or Part-time hours available (18-38hrs) per week. Hours offered, are flexible for the right candidate.
  • Be available to work weekdays, rotating Saturdays and occasional events when required.
  • Be physically fit for a retail environment and manual handling tasks (A medical may be required)
  • Police Clearance required

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching others, and sharing knowledge. You will need to have exceptional customer service experience and the ability to think on your feet. It would be highly beneficial if you have good trouble shooting and problem solving skills. These will be important contributions to the small team environment that you will work in.

You will understand the importance of safety in the workplace and adhere to all policies and procedures at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-38 per week

Salary: $29.00 – $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating roster
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Midvale, WA 6056: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Required)
