JOB SUMMARY:

Complete intake and assessments with individuals and/or families in need through face-to-face contact or phone interviews, and coordinate services to help meet those needs. Responsibilities will include direct contact with customers, gathering documentation, data entry, filing, and responding to customer inquiries. Also responsible for determining eligibility for basic human needs programs such as energy assistance, housing, and various other programs. The perfect fit for this position is a person who is non-judgmental, well organized, and has excellent communication skills. Attention to detail, superior customer service skills, and computer literacy is required. Must have a pleasant and friendly approach to all clients, the community, and staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Associates degree preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Computer experience mandatory
  • Annual PPD
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

This is a full-time position unless determined differently by the Vice President. Some evenings may be required. Due to the nature and responsibility of this work, this individual maintains a flexible schedule, which may go beyond a regular workweek.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION:

Has full access to all program, case management, and some administrative files. Maintains the confidentiality of all materials in accordance with State and Federal laws and CCAP policies and procedures.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records that are well organized.
  • Perform data entry in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Answer phone, take messages, and return voicemails.
  • Performs clerical duties (copying, faxing, filing).
  • Checking in clients and reviewing documentation.
  • Must cover responsibilities for other office staff when on lunch/dinner, vacation, absences, etc.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Works well independently and as a team member -Good interpersonal skills
  • Completes client requests for needs-based application programs and determines eligibility.
  • Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL EFFORT / ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The environment is a business office environment. Potential exposure to blood bore pathogens, respiratory diseases and other infectious diseases, and other biohazardous material requiring universal standard precautions. Transportation is necessary at times. Must have valid driver’s license.
