HANDS ON PRODUCTION MANAGER - production/warehouse/shipping
We are looking for a Production Manager for the Sample Department - responsible for manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping textile samples.
We are a smaller company and need someone who will actively address issues and follow through until completion & spending time on the shop floor with the team. So we can promise a very hands on job.
Your main overall responsibility will be: To formulate strategy, and operational objectives, improve performance, hire, and develop team, participate in budgeting, procure material/resources and secure legal compliance.
- Do you have experience as a production, logistics, or operations manager at least a 5 years, along with a strong and active English and Czech language?
- Do you possess a managerial / leader mindset for planning, development and leading?
- Are your results visible? Do you complete assigned tasks on time, keep others informed, and address any complications that arise?
- Can you ensure that your team members know their tasks in the operation and that the necessary orders for each day are fulfilled on time and with excellent quality?
- Can you analyze the causes of problems, search for and implement solutions, and follow through until completion.
- Above all, you should be skilled in communicating effectively with all parties, with a fair, transparent, and timely approach.Partner-oriented, relationship-oriented mindset is absolutely "must have".
- Have you got a passion for quality and never ending improvement, can you actively use a quality tools as a 5why, PDCA, Root cause analysis
- Are you digital (actively using of whs system, work with data, improve and set up whs system)
The most common daily tasks of PRODUCTION MANAGER:
- Conducting daily meetings with external partners such as suppliers, planning, customer service, design and development departments.
- Coordinating and communicating activities within your department as well as across the entire warehouse.
- Planning and delegating daily tasks among colleagues based on priorities.
- Participating in monthly meetings with internally, preparing presentations for visits and other occasions.
- Coordinating goods receipt and warehousing processes, as well as ordering packaging materials.
- Managing various projects, including those related to new suppliers, new customers, new working procedures, and new collections.
- Handling report processing and implementing new working procedures into practice.
- Managing attendance, bonuses, interviews, performance evaluations, onboarding new employees and talent development.
