Solutions Sales Executive

We are looking for a Solutions Sales Executive, who as an individual contributor to our Growth team, will be responsible for initiating contact with potential customers, generating and qualifying leads, promoting the company’s products and services, and identifying sales opportunities in a way that clearly and convincingly articulates Red Thread Innovations’ value offerings. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for identifying prospects based on our target buyer personas and qualifying potential partners. You know how to personalize outreach messaging through any avenue - from cold calls to RFP responses to in-person networking. Ultimately, our ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate RTI’s unique ability to create digital solutions and successfully move prospects through our sales process. This is a hybrid position, primarily remote with occasional in-person work sessions in the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities

- Understanding our buyer personas and the needs and “pains” of our target market
- Research on the prospective client’s current state, business needs, and time-sensitive opportunities
- Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
- Use prospecting strategies such as cold calling, email, and event networking to lead initial outreach to prospects
- Determine the prospect's interest in product ideation, user experience design, and digital product development
- Lead initial outreach conversations with the prospect and schedule discovery meetings on behalf of the leadership team
- Find RFPs from potential partners and qualify RTI’s ability to compete based on project requirements
- Create contract-winning proposals for RFPs
- Updating and keeping detailed notes in our CRM
- Schedule meetings with 8-10 sales-qualified leads (SQLs) per month

Required Qualifications

- Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
- Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
- Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
- Interest in technology and digital product development
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar

Assets

- Experience initiating relationships with mid-size and enterprise-level clients
- Experience working with technology-based startups
- Familiarity with user experience design, agile methodology, and software engineering
- Ideally 3-5 years of professional sales experience
