The Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Bioprocess Science and Engineering is currently
seeking a
Postdoctoral Research Associate

Extent of employment: 40 hours per week
Duration of employment: 15th of August 2023, limited to 14th of August 2026
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14
times per year): B1 lit. b, € 4.351,90
Responsibilities
Protein descriptor development and testing
Development of hybrid models for protein separation
Protein expression and purification data analysis
Text mining for expression and purification data retrieval
Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students theses
Writing of project proposals in the field specified above
Integration and presentation of modelling research results in relevant lectures and seminars
Required skills and qualifications
Doctoral degree/PhD in mathematics, (bio)informatics or bioengineering
Fluent in English and German
Good programming skills in Python
Desirable skills and qualifications
Self-organized, self-structured and self-motivated even when working from remote/home office
Capabilities in scientific writing
Background in biotechnology, bioprocess engineering and/or protein engineering
