Handyman required to contribute to the maintenance and development of a campus that will serve the academic and co-curricular needs of the school.
The successful person will be required to:
- Understudy, support and assist the other campus handymen
- Assist with the general upkeep and planned maintenance of the school campus and hostel
- Assist with special building projects, renovations and upgrades
- Maintain work order requests through the Help Desk system
- Carry out painting and structural repairs as required
- Carry out joinery repairs and woodwork tasks
- Carry out plumbing repairs, including tiling and unblocking of drainage pipes as and when required
- Act as a co-Tutor as part of the schools Vertical Tutor-group System.
The following requirements are desirable but not essential:
- Carry out welding repairs
- Carry out electrical repairs that do not require a wiring certificate
- Be in possession of a Code 8 driver’s licence
- Assist with driving the campus bakkie in order carry out driving duties
- Experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous

- South African citizen or in possession of a valid visa to live and work in South Africa
- Be in possession of a police clearance certificate or security clearance
- Have a proven track record of having done similar work for a minimum of three years
- Able to supply contactable references
