Software Quality Assurance Testing [Mexico]

 

The HP Worldwide Supply Chain Operations Factory Services Tools team is looking for a college graduate Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Guadalajara Mexico. The candidate will test HP factory services on new product introductions in the Guadalajara Lab. The test engineer will learn HP factory services and leverage industry standard testing strategies to confirm the HP factory services successfully pass on the new products prior to first customer shipments. The Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related IT fields.

Knowledge & Skills:

The ideal candidate should have knowledge in some of the following:

• Strong English Language
• Software Application testing
• Experience with web service testing
• Develop test plan(s), test cases, test strategies.
• Experience with Regression Testing
• Ability to write step by step instructions on how to re-produce issues.
• Experience developing test data.
• Develop release documentation.
• Basic SQL Database Query experience
• Positive and Negative testing

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with GitHub or Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Manage product backlog items from test perspective.
• Create automated tests against web applications.
• Develop software build/deployment server.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Some responsibilities for this position include:

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
• Identify, document and track bugs.
• Perform regressing testing when bugs are resolved.
• Ability to work in team environment and work independently.
• Collaborative team player
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with agile development/testing processes
• Gaining experience with test automation
• Emphasis on continuous integration testing

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 0-2 years experience.
