Our Opportunity
We are currently on the hunt for a Warehouse Manager to lead the warehouse operations at our large Dairy plant in Longburn, Manawatu. This site operates 7 days a week, stocking over 400 SKUs and picking over 600 orders daily.
Leading a team of 4 direct reports and 50 indirect reports, the role of the Warehouse Manager is to manage all finished goods operations including supply and storage and inventory management. The role will provide effective people leadership through developing highly engaged and high performing warehouse teams.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Contribute to and develop warehouse and dispatch strategy, assuring alignment with GFNZ strategy
- Building capability in the team by coaching and developing staff
- Lead and support major warehouse and dispatch changes as required through strategic initiatives
- Leads all operational and capital plans for warehouse
- Ensures best practise procedures and processes are in place, fully documented and adhered to
- Maintains a continuous improvement focus and ensures tools and processes are implemented in warehouse
- Ensures site GMP standards are met and any identified NC's are rectified within agreed timeframes with the Quality team
- Work with Logistics to ensure the dispatch and transportation requirements for all relevant orders are met
- Develop an annual operational budget for the warehouse and ensure financial targets are met
- Maintain full ownership of relevant OPEX and CAPEX along with full reporting and management visibility
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce operational costs
- Measure DIFOT for all product dispatched, and assist and manage all complaints and corrective actions
- High customer service levels and adequate customer interactions in all relevant channels
- 5+ years Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience in a people leadership role
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification Preferred but not essential
- SAP Experience
- FMCG experience
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing & Supply Chain
- Intermediate to Advanced M/S Office skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook
